"The Waiting Period" is now available on itunes

Yoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's good everybody it ya boy big Zeet, with the latest new from Zeal Entertainment. Big Tings Ah Gwaan, as D.K.L.A. has returned to their Los Angeles penthouse. They've had a time to relax for a quick second and reflect on 06, and what's to come in 07. "I don't even know where to start!" said DeElirious in a recent one on one interview exclusive. "So much has been going on in such little time, and I have been most fortunate to have been there every step of the way". First up on the list, Zu Crew is definitely in affect as the new Zu Crew T's have finally arrived and I must say these joints are wicked fresh. Skeet, the Creative Director of Zeal Entertainment, had this to say when asked about the design. "I wanted to develop something that would not only would display the message and meaning of the Zu Crew, but also something that is fashionably ill to look at and wear. I want Zu Crew members looking good at all times." I also had a chance to spend some time around the infamous Kyro (Knowing Your Roots Origin, for all of ya'll that don't know) as he explained his approach method for attacking the highly anticipated album D.K.L.A.'s The Waiting Period and this is what he had to say. "My approach for this album is quite simple, I just went back and analyzed the entire artist and albums that made me want to do hip-hop in the first place. I basically study albums by artist such as Rakim, De La Soul, Run DMC, and many more and incorporated my style with theirs." I must say the talented emcee has done his homework with tracks like "Fluid" and "Where You At", truly showcases a tremendous talent from this unique artist. I recently caught up with DeElirious a.k.a "Thelonious Dee", at the underground studio called Rebel Base and asked a few questions about the production of this album and his approach as well to attacking this long awaited debut, this is what he had to say: "I wanted to tap into the original forms of early hip-hop on this album along with some new energy. Tracks like "Where you at" and "Fluid" pay tribute to those old records like "You know my Steez" by Guru, and "Scenario" by Tribe Called Quest. I think Kyro and me has developed something truly unique on this album and I can't wait to get it out so the world can hear it." When I asked what's in store aside "The Waiting Period" debut and this is what was said on behalf of Zeal Entertainment. "There is a lot in store in 2007 for Zeal, we have a number things lined up, we are just finalizing our platform so that we are able to bless the people on a continual basis; so look out, the day of the Zu is near." Now I must say it has been a complete journey watching these three cats prepare to take over the world! With the brand new official web site going live, and the highly awaited debut album by D.K.L.A. due to release sometime in 07', as well as the Zu Crew brand taking swarm on the hip-hop community, not to forget all of the other goodies from this dynamic camp that is due to drop, it's a wonder to see if the world is ready for what is about to happen, is the world ready for real hip-hop as well as a real revolution. Keep your eyes close on what's in front of you and you won't be left behind.
